Next Generation Basketball
presented by Coach Rick Slone and his crew.

Coach Slone is the Head Varsity Coach of Boys Basketball at Central Valley High School. 
He also sits on the Board of Directors of the CV Activities Foundation.

   Next Generation is a performance team, specializing in basketball skills and drills.  It is for boys grades 1 through 5.
   The program creates an early interest in basketball and is designed to encourage the development of basketball skills, 
especially ball handling.  This program is more than just basketball.  Coach Sloan has designed it to improve players 
agility, physical skills and general fitness and to stimulate individual work ethic and self discipline while building 
self-assurance and self-esteem.  

   Next Generation allows each child the opportunity to perform in front of a crowd and to overcome the nervousness 
that keeps so many from trying new things.  It allows each child to mess up and keep going  -  an invaluable lesson.  
This program allows each child to work at his own level and to be successful.

   The cost of the program is $60 which includes a tee-shirt and shorts (performance outfit) a basketball and a skills 
and drills video authored by coach Sloan.

   The Foundation collects and monitors these monies.  Donations to this program should be marked Next Generation.
